Generally, most tourists choose to travel Ireland by train, as it is the quickest and the most comfortable way to get around the country. The plane connection is available only for the Dublin to Kerry and the Dublin to Donegal routes, but they are not favored among travelers. Basically, who wants to overpay for a plane ticket, wait for a few hours in the airport only to enjoy a one-hour flight afterward when you can go all this way by a comfortable train, relaxing and admiring the views? There are almost 150 stations in Ireland, and most population centers boast only one rail hub per city. But, there are a few exceptions.
